Howdy Campers!
Let's help our mountain brothers & sisters rebuild hurricane Helene ravaged western North Carolina and celebrate the start of the winter season on the intracoastal waterway of Bulls Bay in beautiful McClellanville, South Carolina!
You'll be enchanted by the barrier islands, forests, ponds and wildlife of the Francis Marion National Forest and the beautiful Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge.
All Proceeds from this special winter camp will benefit the hurricane relief efforts for Marshall & Hot Springs, NC.
We've got a wide selection of campsites to choose from, including primitive sites on the intracoastal water way and bunk cabins near a small lake with private showers and bathrooms.
Note: The campground does not allow RV's or generators. Small pop up campers and travel trailers are permitted.
Note: Campers are responsible for tent/hammock sleeping accommodations.
In addition please bring your own water, firewood, bug spray, booze, snacks and ice!
Friendly dogs are welcome- please keep barkers and aggressive dogs at home where they'll be happy!

Join 'Swamp Daddy' & 'True Story' on a beginners foraging excursion.
You'll learn the basics of finding delicious culinary mushrooms that you can harvest right here in the low country and identification skills so you know which mushrooms you should be careful to not eat!
Course Lead by 'Swamp Daddy' aka Emery Porter is a master forager certified in SC & NC Wild Mushroom Food Safety. License #2012
Join us for an afternoon of observation and creativity!
Each registered participant will receive their very own nature journal and nature journaling kit to use during the program. Learn from artist and scientist, Maggie Pelton as she teaches you various ways to draw Estuary critters.
Nature journaling is an extremely effective and engaging way to teach observation, curiosity, and creative thinking. Adventure awaits, registration appreciated.
Learn how to shoot a recurve bow from your Camp Director, Amy Evans!
You'll learn basic archery form, which includes how you stand, pull the string, position your body, and release the arrow.
Feel free to bring your own bow and arrows to shoot if you have one. Targets will be set up along with sling shots with cans for additional fun. This event is for target practice only.
No shooting of live targets allowed.
Friday Night Camp Potluck
Bring a little something to share around the campfire and get to know your fellow campers.
Chef Jermaine from Graham's Landing in Murrells Inlet will be making us his Lowcountry Chicken Bog; chicken, smoky sausage, and rice in a homemade chicken broth. This is a traditional Gullah meal of the Lowcountry and is perfect for a winter camp!

Saturday Night BBQ Pork Sliders & Oyster Roast!
Chef Jermaine will also be making his incredibly tasty BBQ Pork Sliders and Emery Porter will be harvesting fresh Cape Romain Oysters for an oyster roast! Saltines and Hot Sauce provided. Don't forget your oyster knife!
Sunday Brunch
French Toast and Camp Leftovers Brunch - we always bring too much food! Stay and hear an encore from Eli & Johnnie my dear friends from Hurricane Helene ravaged Hot Springs. They will close this camp for us with their achingly beautiful Appalachian gothic mountain folk harmony.

Cast your line or crab trap in off the dock for some of the best fishing and crabbing on the intracoastal. You can also catch fresh water bass and catfish at the lake just 1/4 mile from the campground.
Paddle your way through one of the most scenic waterways in the country. You can launch your kayak from the dock and explore the intracoastal creeks and marsh or paddle board and kayak on the adjacent Lake Francis. You'll likely see a few gators and many shore birds including herons and egrets, ducks, and more.
